About Trees KenTal

Trees KenTal promotes planting uniform, drought-tolerant shade trees to enhance the beauty and sustainability of a green canopy in the Kensington and Talmadge neighborhoods of San Diego, and surrounding areas.

Our objectives:

1. To promote awareness on the expansive value of shade trees and the preservation of designated heritage trees.

2. To establish resources for replacing vulnerable trees, especially palms affected by the South American Palm Weevil.

3. To vet replacement tree programs.

4. To develop a five-year neighborhood tree plan to identify a single or limited number of resident-preferred canopy trees and establish a strategy for implementation
